FYI Head Magazine was a porn zine published in Southern California starting in 1975. It was distributed primarily in Los Angeles and San Francisco.The average issue had between 40-48 pages with no advertisements and all hardcore photo content. Though it was published on newsprint the magazine had a cult like following among porn fans of the time. It was known to feature adult film stars and nude models early on in there career. Indeed most porn stars from the West Coast attained recognition in Head Magazine (and it's sister publication Suck Magazine) long before they ever made it in mainstream porn publications such as Parliament, Gourmet, Swedish Erotica or Hustler. Because it was published on newsprint high grade copies of this title are exceptionally difficult to find.
