Due to her physical resemblance to the at-the-time popular vanilla actress Farrah Fawcett, Petty quickly gained national notoriety. She was branded as the fourth Angel on Charlies Angel (prior to Cheryl Ladd joining the show). This striking resemblance between the two led to a great deal of confusion among fans and for Petty to develop a cult like fan base for her appearances in print.
