DETAILS: Original gelatin silver photograph by photographer Roy Kemp. Titled, Forbidden Fruit, it's a whimsical play on the Adam and Eve tale with a feminist Beatnik twist. Kemp, who was a prominent chronicler of the Beatnik Movement of the 1960's, used his works to challenge common misconceptions of gender roles and sexuality. He would go on to become a champion of gay rights, by being among the very few photo-journalists willing to cover the Stone Wall Riots. Measure 8" x 10" inches.
