CONDITION: Magazine comic is in high grade condition. An exceptionally well preserved copy. Numerically we would give it a 9.4 out of 10. The only flaw we identified was light foxing from removed price decal on front cover. Otherwise a nice, tight clean copy. We are uncertain if CGC grades Tom of Finland comic books, but if they do, this copy would be a perfect candidate to submit. Please note that one of the scans has a purple streak in the image which is scanner and NOT on the actual book. See images for further details.
PUBLICATION NOTES REGARDING TOM OF FINLAND FIRST PRINTINGS: Tom of Finland (Touko Valio Laaksonen) started distributing his work on his own in Helsinki (most in fanzine format and identified as self-published works by Tom). Then he teamed up with a small regional Scandinavian publisher D.F.T. (Denmark) in 1968. In 1971 he continued with Coq Publishing (Denmark) and Revolt Press (Sweden). Tom was very active creating new content during this time and all three of these European publishers printed first editions of original works. In 1979 he finally created the Tom of Finland Company where he began to reprint his earlier material, again with new content added on occasional issues. Many of these titles do not bear a date or publishers indicia.
