NOTES REGARDING TOM OF FINLAND COMIC PRINTINGS: Tom of Finland (Touko Valio Laaksonen) started distributing his work on his own in Helsinki (most in fanzine format and identified as self-published works by Tom). Then he teamed up with a small regional Scandinavian publisher D.F.T. (Denmark) in 1968. In 1971 he continued with Coq Publishing (Denmark) and Revolt Press (Sweden). During this time Tom was very active creating new content and all three of these European publishers printed first editions of his original works. In 1979 he finally created the Tom of Finland Company where he consolidated future releases.
