DETAILS: Very hard to find original Jardel Knitting Company catalog photograph. Circa 1965. Early example of gay male fashion catalog. Based in Honolulu, Jardel is considered by many to be among the first retailer of gay fashion sold through catalogs in the United States. They were later copied by Undergear, Ah Men, Rugby, That Look and a plethora of other catalog retailers. But none seem to have the cutting edge look of Jardel's works. Photograph measures 10" x 8" inches. Rare.
