DETAILS: Richard Roesener (1947-1985) was a gay physique photographer and artist active during the homophile movement of the 1960's. His works appeared in Blueboy, In Touch for Men as well as a number of regional gay publications starting in the 1970's, including works by Chuck Renslow. Many of his erotic works were published under the name Dale Hall, Derrick Hall among other pseudonyms. He was also active in the San Francisco and New York gay rights movement. He was a lead twirler for the San Francisco Gay Freedom Day Marching Band and Twirling Corps for several years before his death from AIDS in 1985.
