DETAILS: Hard to find Unreleased Blazing Films Annual V1#1 by Calga / Pendulum Press, Los Angeles. Circa 1969. Oversize with 200 plus pages. This title was among Calga's finest releases. The entire magazine deals with sexploitation cinema pictorial features that were created by their staff. They are accompanied with stories / plots of the of the proposed film. In many ways they are like an early pictorial graphic novel - a script accompanied by photos to illustrate the story described. Because of the highly provocative nature of the subject nature, the magazine only had limited distribution in Southern and Central California. Too bad as you will not find a better example of the incredible editorial content that the staff at Calga were capable of. Though we could not identify any of the author pseudonyms we believe that there are several Edward Wood Jr. stories featured. Our highest recommendation.
