BACKGROUND: Foto Grafo was an early Scandinavian gay photographer studio based in Sunyberg, Sweden. The studio was renowned for its nautical themed photographs of buff men. In fact all of the models it photographed were in some form of naval or sea life theme! Their naval themed pictures quickly gained a strong following in the United States among physique photo collectors but were always hard to acquire. Original Swedish prints from the studio (as opposed to later American reproductions) are especially difficult to find.
